Charitable work

PA Freight are always looking at ways of offering both practical and financial help.

Ferrari Race Car

On the race track, the PA Freight Ferrari has its first outing this year at Silverstone on 25th August.  The car, which is a 200mph modified race car, has been the company’s official Charity Car for 5 years and has raised more than £50,000 for all sorts of Charities: the NSPCC; Childline; Beaumond House Hospice; and the Meningitis Trust.
In 2003, the World F1 Champion and English sporting hero, Nigel Mansell, OBE and Andrew Morris, PA Freight’s Managing Director joined forces to help promote the car for its Charity use.
This partnership has been one of the reasons the car has raised so much money for the aforementioned Charities.  There have been countless lucky people driven by Andrew at racing speeds round International Race tracks, all in worthwhile causes!
Andrew will compete in 2 races at Silverstone on August 25th; the races are being used as a test for the big push for 2008 with an aim to win the highly competitive Ferrari Open Championship.

Any customer wishing to join the PA Freight on race day can contact the office for Race information and we are offering complimentary tickets at certain events around the Country so please ask the office.
Donnington Park on 30th September will be a really important date for PA Freight Ferrari, when the company will be holding a full race day Hospitality day, again contact the Office for further information.
Andrew who used to be a semi professional racing driver is hopeful of decent results however he has commented " The standard of the other car we are racing against is very high, however, where there’s a will there a way and even if we have to revert to overtaking on the grass, this will be considered!"

Sister Company Export Packers Football Sponsorship

Also having some great results are the Carlton Boys Football Club of Nottingham, winning their League and making the semi finals again of the Cup.  With so much talent in the team, several of the boys have been also selected to play in the more senior teams. Well done lads and here’s to a great 2007/08 season.

Quicksilver World Water Speed Record

This most amazing story is unfolding and PA Freight have a hand in the help required to transport and sponsor the Quicksilver world water speed attempt on Coniston Water, Cumbria.  Nigel Macknight is hoping to recapture the record for England on the stretch of water where Bluebird’s attempt so tragically ended in disaster for Donald Campbell in 1967.  Nigel has been building this amazing craft for over 10 years and has now programmed low speed runs for the record attempt in 2009.  For further information on this exciting project please contact PA Freight or link to www.quicksilver-wsr.com

Improvements and Conservation Program at PA Freight Offices

PA Freight are delighted to have the support of TV personality Alan Titchmarsh.  Recently the company undertook an improvement and planting scheme for natural trees and shrubs which has not only enhanced the working environment but has dramatically increased the numbers of birds and wildlife that visit our workplace.  The company’s main works sits between Newark's town centre and open countryside.  With a total site area of 12 acres, we have cultivated a large area close to the car park and lorry park.  The company is committed to a recycling program of waste materials, which will reduce landfill and considerably improve our industrial impact on the environment.  With this in mind, we have taken the next step to encourage natural surroundings similar to that of a nature park.
