PA Freight have shipped over 100 Ocean Rowing Boats and work closely with WoodVale Challenge, the premier organisers of ocean rowing events.

Our specially designed cradles provide safe securing for the boats and for the boat & cradle within a standard shipping container and are fully approved by Shipping Lines. The cradles also provide optimum stowage of pairs-boats within the container (2-in-1) resulting in reduced transportation costs.

PA Freight’s MD, Andrew Morris, is himself a successful Ocean Rower and is therefore uniquely qualified to know and understand all of the issues and problems involved.

PA’s mission is to provide a personal service and to make the shipping of boats a stress-free experience for rowers.

A full-service package is offered for UK Origin boats from receiving boats at our Newark premises to the start-point and from taking the boat ashore at the finishing-point back to Newark for collection by Rowers.

For boats originating from (and returning to) places outside of the UK and for which Owners wish to engage PA Freight for services covering all or any part of the carriage to the start and / or from the finish point; Owners should discuss and agree the entire transportation programme with PA in order to ensure that a fully co-ordinated plan is made and so avoid problems that may incur significant unforeseen additional costs.

Shipping of Solos, Pairs, Fours Rowing Boats

Return trip from Newark back to Newark

Our rate includes packing into 6 metres ISPM 15 certified wooden base w/ cradle and protective material, loading and securing the boat into the container. (not including off loading at the Marina in San Sebastian)

Rate includes fully comprehensive insurance @£15,000 per boat in transit and Customs Clearance Charges in La Gomera, Antigua and UK

1 x 29` foot Boat ............................................................... rate £7750 UK pounds
2 x pairs or solo boats are shipped together....…… rate £5850 UK pounds each boat on a sharing basis(maximum of 23` per boat)

Outbound: Weekly sailings, transit time approx 6 days UK quay to Tenerife quay, 3 to 4 days for clearance and transport to La Gomera without being off transship

Inbound: Transit time is 27 days back to the UK and PA Freight will ship them in batches subject to arrival in Antigua St John’s Port, Antigua
